How  it  all  started

About 40 years ago we welcomed our Saint Bernard, we went to show a few times and decided to breed a litter with her. In 1973 we got our kennel affix,

"fén 't Griene Woûd"

28 Years ago we bought our first Golden retriever.
Kelly was bred by the van Spokendam kennels and
out of the famous Glennessa lines.
After Kelly our second Golden came right ahead out of Ch. Glennessa's Flip.

From that moment we regularly went to show, clubmathes as well as international shows and ofcourse we did breed with our girls.

Good health and super characters were allways the most important things we watched for in the breeding, for that reason we also visited the breeders days which are organized by the Dutch Golden Retriever Club.
 
In '98 we imported, for the first time, our Purbarn girl  followed by our Stanroph and a little later our
Goldenlines girl from Sweden.

Together with these girls and our own bred ladies
we hope to continue breeding typical Goldens and
help to improve the breed where ever that's possible.
 

We, Pier and Ruth, live together with our 8 girls in
beautifull Friesland where everything is still green
and we have lots of space for us and our beloved ones.
